Amazon Announces Top Fall Books
Amazon recently released its top ten book list for the Fall of 2012. Entitled the “Big Fall Book Preview”, Amazon gives readers a sneak peek into the fall publishing season.
The top ten books are: “Telegraph Avenue” by Michael Chabon; “America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren’t” by Stephen Colbert; “The Twelve (Book Two of The Passage Trilogy)” by Justin Cronin; “Winter of the World: Book Two of the Century Trilogy” by Ken Follett; “Flight Behavior” by Barbara Kingsolver; “The Casual Vacancy” by J.K. Rowling; “Joseph Anton: A Memoir” by Salman Rushdie; “NW” by Zadie Smith; “The Oath: The Obama White House v. the Supreme Court” by Jeffrey Toobin; and “Back to Blood” by Tom Wolfe.
Amazon gives short descriptions of each book, which will be available in print, as well as digitally, for devices such as the Kindle Fire, via the Amazon.com.
Editorial Director of Books and Kindle at Amazon.com, Sara Nelson, remarked, “Fall tends to bring readers some of the best, most-sure-to-be-talked-about books, and this year’s lineup looks especially impressive… In fact, our Editorial team was so excited about so many upcoming books that, in addition to the Top 10 list, each of us picked three more upcoming books that we already love, or can’t wait to get our hands on, and included these suggestions as another feature in our Big Fall Books Preview. Whether customers are looking for a book for their teenager, or the delicious novels they’ll soon devour in front of a fire, there’s plenty of great reading to go around.”
There are several additional more specific categories where Amazon also names top upcoming releases – including nonfiction, fiction, mystery, biography, child, tween, teen and cookbooks. Current best sellers include books from the popular 50 Shades of Grey series, which occupy the top four spots, Unintended Consequences: Why Everything You’ve Been Told About the Economy Is Wrong, The Amateur, and the Game of Thrones book series.Read this next: OSX Mountain Lion Available with 200 New Features
